Sisters of the Black Moon

Happening chicks selling wicked vintage threads.
I recommend viewing their wares to Moon by Deradoorian, on repeat.

We gotta go, go, go!

Nothing but a good trawl

The Live Adventures Of Mike Bloomfield And Al Kooper

Who would have thought I'd get something good from an album cover by Norman Rockwell?

Alive and kicking

So I was trawling around online and came up with Alive records. I hit on Mondo Drag first, then got to Radio Moscow. Acid infused rock, complete with long curtain hair and chunky riffs. Might be too indulging for some but we really hate that MGMT is associated with the word 'psychedelic'.

Merry Christmas

After the farce which is Black Keys' Attack and Release (they should have NEVER let Danger Mouse produce that album), Blakroc came out sounding like a relief. "Yes, we can still kick out the jams with the best of them". No doubt, this can never top the El Michels Affair but because I'm biased and I'll always be a big Keys fan, it'll do.

God Is Good

Been awhile since i updated this blog. Been busy with work with all the shifting and moving out. Anyway enough of blabbering cos work is boring anyway except for the money.
At last i got in my hands OM latest album God Is Good. KInda lame cos it's been out since few months ago.
For people who doesn't know who OM is, let me just do a quick intro. They're formed by former band members of Sleep, one of the pioneers of stoner doom. Consist 2 of their members who are Chris Hakius on drums & Al Cisneros on bass & vocals. Hakius left OM in 2008 & Emil Amos of Grails joined.
Please get the album if you wanna listen to it cos i don't do reviews. You gotta listen OM to know what it's like, with all that tibetan chants & all.I'll update this blog soon with my zine progress & new drawings soon.

Saturday comes hunger and exhaustion

I think all women should invest in a Herve Leger bandage dress. Who cares if it shows a less than flaterring tummy? Just wear it and strut some. Because Argentinian men dig curves. Band: Pescado Rabioso. I cannot remember how I came across them but I recently only discovered that their songs are mostly about banging. Thanks to barely legal campers from the South Americas who helped me in the translation. Geez, how was I supposed to know they've got xrated lyrics.

Perth? Really? NO!

Ok! What I want to know is how does something like this:

sound like this:

It's been bothering me for awhile that there are alot of great psychrock bands in Texas and now it's Perth. So THERE ARE great bands in the sticks afterall. Yeah, you're probably thinking they're going to go down like Jet and Wolfmother. But I don't know, I feel this band got hope. Does it have anything to do with the fact that they look like the kinda band chicks leave their boyfriends for? Well, that always helps.

Two with something same same

Pilooski had sliced and diced both songs. Not bad at all.

Magnifico

Was alerted by EB's tweet. How's this for a corny idea: we replace the clip's soundtrack with Love Is In The Air. It'll work, me thinks.

Come, come, come out tonight

franki valli and the four seasons

Teddy Girl|MySpace Videos

Well, The Temptations had the slickest moves but Franki Valli & the Four Seasons... they had the falsetto dude. I'm in the mood to air out some old school tracks.

Electric Surfing Go Go

I never regret giving up naan to watch them play at the White Stage that morning. Love the jumpers, makes economical sense when touring. Only need money for dry cleaning.
